Graduating. Newly engaged. Updating the family photos. Celebrating a birthday. Or maybe you just haven't had a good photo of yourself in a while.
Portrait keeps it simple: a little planning, guidance when you need it, and photographs that still feel like you.
Simple doesn't mean rushed.
This is for the things that don't necessarily feel like milestones yet.
Tuesday dinners. Living room dance parties. Your kid reaching for your hand. The way your family looks in the home you're in right now.
I'll give you a little direction when you need it, then let things unfold from there. You don't have to know what to do in front of the camera.
We're just documenting life while you're in it.
A place that means something to you.
Something your family always does.
A feeling you wish you could hold onto a little longer.
Story starts there. We'll take what already matters to you and build the session around it—the location, the details, what we photograph, and how we tell it.
No recreating Pinterest.
We're making yours.
You have enough going on that day. You shouldn't also have to worry about documenting it.
Quinceañeras, weddings, anniversaries, family reunions—whatever brings everybody into the same room. I'll photograph the people, traditions, and all the little things happening in between while you get to actually be there for it.
These are the photographs that eventually become part of the family archive.
Sometimes you really do just need a photographer there for a couple hours.
A courthouse wedding. A graduation ceremony. A retirement party. A grand opening. Something worth documenting, just not something that needs six hours of coverage.
I'll come in, photograph what's happening, get the people who matter, and let you get back to enjoying it.
Before I pick up the camera, I want to know what we're trying to remember.
We'll talk about who's involved, what this season looks like right now, and anything you already know you want photographed.
Maybe it's your parents' house before they sell it. Maybe everybody is finally going to be together. Maybe your kid is in a stage you already know you're going to miss.
Or maybe you don't know yet. That's okay too.
We'll figure it out together.
Then we make it happen.
You don't need to know what to do in front of the camera. I'll give you direction when you need it and leave room for the things I couldn't plan if I tried.
Some sessions need a little guidance. Some we're building from the ground up.
Either way, we'll move around, talk, laugh, probably get distracted—and somewhere in there, we'll make the photographs.
The good stuff usually happens in between.
Then you get to keep it.
Your photographs are edited, curated, and delivered in your online gallery. Depending on what you booked, you may also receive pieces like Studio Selects, a Highlight Reel, Polaroids, or a Recorded Letter.
Some will live on your walls. Some in your camera roll. Some you might forget about until you find them again years from now.
That's the whole point.
Not just remembering what it looked like.
Remembering what it felt like to be there.
Do I need a reason to book?
Nope..
Some people book because they're getting married. Others because their baby's tiny toes won't stay tiny for long. Sometimes it's because your dad is selling the house you grew up in.
And sometimes...
it's September, the dahlias are blooming, and you wanna wear your cute outfit for a fire IG post.
That's reason enough.
What happens after I inquire?
We’ll start with a conversation about what you’re hoping to remember. Depending on the experience, we might plan the details, choose a location, or dream up ideas together.
From there, I’ll send over everything you need so you never have to wonder what comes next.
Then comes shoot day. I’ll guide you when it’s helpful, step back when it’s not, and let the rest unfold.
After that, I get to work creating your gallery and any films or keepsakes included in your experience.
Then it’s yours to come back to.
I'm awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Very. 😂
You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands.
I'll give you direction when you need it and leave room for things to happen naturally.
It's a mix of guided, lifestyle, and documentary photography—not standing around hoping something candid happens.
DO YOU HELP WITH PLANNING?
Absolutely. The planning is half the fun.
We'll choose a location that fits the vision, narrow down outfits, talk through props if they make sense, and make sure every decision feels intentional.
You don't need to show up with the perfect Pinterest board or have everything figured out beforehand. Some of my favorite sessions started with, "I have no idea... I just know I want to remember this."
We'll figure out the rest together.
When will I receive everything?
Most experiences are delivered within four weeks.
Celebrations are typically delivered within 6–12 weeks because there’s simply more to go through and edit.
If your experience includes films, keepsakes, or other Studio Editions, those pieces may have their own turnaround time.
You’ll always know what to expect before we begin.
